David Cooper

Dave Cooper’s writing reflects his experiences having taught history for 30 years, martial arts since 1997, and having worked in three Pennsylvania museums. His work spans genres and literary forms—from historical fiction to classroom resources to nature poetry. Saltwater Media published his first novel, Jimmy Grits Private Eye, in October of 2024. Dave's short stories have appeared in the Cat and Mouse Press anthologies Beach Pulp, Beach Dreams, Beach Secrets, and Beach Holidays. Additional works of fiction and poetry have appeared in Timber Creek Review, Yorick Magazine, and NFG. His trade and general interest articles have appeared in Teaching History, Middle Ground, Middle Level Learning, Family Chronicle, Teaching PreK-8, College Bound, and Pennsylvania Educational Leadership to name a few. Dave continues to write and teach in Rehoboth Beach, DE where he lives with his wife Judy and puggle Aubrey.
