Joy has been a dedicated mother and massage therapist for over twenty-five years. In her youth, she dreamed of becoming a rock-and-roll singer, even recording CDs to pursue that goal. When opportunities in the music industry didn’t materialize, she chose a new path that involved college, marriage, and ultimately motherhood. However, during her third year of college, Joy was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a chronic pain condition that made her struggle to find purpose in life. It wasn’t until she experienced relief through massage therapy that she discovered a new calling: helping others heal from pain, just as she had.
After giving birth to her son and starting a new career, Joy’s health markedly improved. However, when her seventeen-year marriage ended in divorce, she went through a period of profound change. She pursued a real estate career, but anxiety and panic attacks soon forced her to pause. Searching for renewal, Joy moved to North Carolina during the COVID-19 pandemic, dedicating herself to healing and spiritual growth. Through time in nature, journaling, reading Scripture, and even surviving a near-death experience, she came to believe that God had revealed a divine purpose—a calling to live with love and share her journey with others.
