Tracy Stopler

Tracy Stopler, M.S.,R.D., author of The Ropes That Bind, is the recipient of the 2022 Reader's Favorite International Book Awards GOLD MEDAL winner in the Social Issues genre; the 2018 Semi-Finalist for the North Street Prize; the 2017 Independent Press Award, and the 2017 New York City Big Book Award for "Distinguished Favorite" in the category of Women's Fiction.

Tracy's second novel, My Brother Javi: A Dog's Tale, was published in February 2020 and has won the 2022 Reader's Favorite International Book Awards Honorary Mention, the 2021 Bronze Feathered Quill Book Award, the 2020 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award, and the 2020 American Bookfest Best Book Award FINALIST.

Tracy earned her Master's Degree in nutrition from New York University. She is a registered dietitian in private practice and a nutrition professor at Adelphi University. Tracy is a special victim's advocate and served as the Enough Abuse Campaign Coordinator at The Safe Center on Long Island, New York. She is also a TEDx presenter ("Break Free From The Ropes That Bind").

Tracy loves having her own B and B (Binah, a 12-year-old Havanese, and Bella, a three-year-old Aussie doddle). When she is not working, writing, or baking, she enjoys doing anything outdoors.
