I am a scientist, a philosopher, a teacher, a writer and, like you, I am a fellow human being with an opinion on many subjects. My background includes a long history in the biomedical and pharmaceutical fields. I have a Ph.D. in pharmacology and have conducted exploratory and clinical research during a 35 year career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to my career in industry I taught and led graduate research programs as a tenured faculty member at a medical school in the midwestern United States.
