Eric Bush has worked for some well-known companies including Microsoft, Tektronix, Mentor Graphics, Nike, Intel and Boeing. He also worked as a senior software engineer for the worldwide retail giant Walmart on backend scalable JavaScript Node.js cloud infrastructure and also for React code for the walmart.com website. Eric now works at Amazon in the AWS division as a Senior Solutions Architect, where he helps companies transition to modern AWS hosting. This work follows the best practices to achieve the best for each of the attributes of Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Security, Operational Excellence and Cost Optimization
Eric began his professional career programming embedded micro-controllers in assembly language. He then worked on client-server development for what were known as workstation computers developing CAD software. When Windows came along, Eric was right there, developing some of the first desktop applications for Windows. After that he transitioned back to client-server applications for Windows Server. Finally, he made the move to .Net based cloud enterprise development in 2009 and is now focused on full-stack JavaScript technologies, centered on Node.js in the cloud.
