Instead of assuming that you want to know about me I am going to make this a "What About Me Can Be Beneficial to You Page." The truth is I don't expect anybody to give a rat's behind about me unless I give them a reason. So here goes.

I am a self-proclaimed "fruit inspector" which means that I only take advice from people who have the "fruit on the tree." When I listen to another person's counsel it is because they have succeeded at what I endeavor to do.

I insist on the same level of scrutiny when it comes to what I write about, and only share info that has helped me accomplish my goals. So what have I accomplished that I feel is worthy to share? First of all, I have not had a job in over three decades because I have been self-employed since 1983. According to the Small Business Administration only one third of new businesses make it past ten years so I have beaten those odds.

I believe my greatest achievement is that I have overcome an extremely abusive childhood. That abuse caused me to take a bunch of baggage into adulthood. The awesome thing is I have managed to get past that and become a good father.

I ended the cycle of abuse and that is what my first book is about. It is a book of empowerment filled with hope and attitudes that will help parent and child alike. Parents will benefit from knowledge that will help them in their parenting effort. Children will benefit from having empowered parents.

I have two books available on parenting and I wrote them because I have the "fruit on the tree." I sometimes declare that "I am the greatest father in the world!" Really, I do that with people I just met. Most of the time they will look at me like a dog looking at a new pan so I look at them and say " you're probably wondering why I say that, aren't you?" They normally respond in the affirmative and I retort with "I have the greatest kids in the world!"
