Being the fourth girl in a family with five children gave me a lot of time to think and dream up stories. Most had secret doors and hidden panels, with the perfect escape from the evil villain. At seven years old we moved to Berryhill and a Technicolor world opened up. The quiet countryside and wonderful people changed my life. Unlike most, I only had hints that I loved writing. A flutter when I saw the Bookmobile pull into the gravel parking lot, and an urge to read books and watch movies about Authors. But one Christmas day after my kids were grown, it seemed as though God tossed the recognition of the seed inside of me. I put my crafts and quilting machine away and started in a spiral notebook. I entered that secret world of creating stories, never to return . . . .
