K. Van Kramer

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Van Kramer's lifelong interest in art and science was fueled at a young age by her father and grandfather, both soil science experts. Later as she began writing her trilogy, her knowledge of agriculture formed the basis for her novels about human survival for future colonists on Mars.

With a B.A. from the University of Florida in graphic design, she achieved several Addy awards but later refocused her talents to illustrate children's books. Discovering a deep connection between creative writing and the visual arts, she gradually began writing.

Aside from an accomplished career in graphic design, and a published writer, Van Kramer's spends her time with family in Groningen Netherlands, seeking to unveil the mysteries of the universe and dreams of the future. At a time when human spaceflight and exploration on Mars becomes a foreseeable future, her true desire is to support these undertakings through action packed, entertaining and thought provoking stories.
