Cory Frye

Cory Frye is an author and editor based in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley. His work has appeared in the Albany Democrat-Herald, Corvallis Gazette-Times, Salem Statesman-Journal and the Oregonian. Away from stoic pulp, he's contributed to Yahoo! Music, iTunes, Under the Radar, Hit List, Stereo Subversion and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In a previous life, he worked for Rhino Entertainment Company, where he co-produced the critically savaged 7-CD "Whatever: The '90s Pop & Culture Box" (2005) and the hosanna'd Afghan Whigs compendium, "Unbreakable: A Retrospective" (2007). More recently he wrote essays for 2015 reissues of Van Morrison's "Astral Weeks" and "His Band and the Street Choir." He's a lover of history and culture (brow height negotiable), and is game to write about either.
