When Marga Ruth Mead visited again her old home town in the east of Germany after the unification, she wrote several articles for a newspaper about the changes which she observed there. As all her articles were published unabridged, she felt inspired to visit writing classes to polish her talent. As a reward she had several articles and stories published in diverse anthologies, including the serial "Weihnachtsgeschichten am Kamin" by Rowohlt. She got the intention to bring pupils to more reading and therefore composed more than 150 fairy tales, which she read in German and Austrian schools. She inspired pupils to draw pictures to the tales, from which she took the best ones and published four books and several brochures. Publications with Christmas stories and with her favourite recipies for cookies followed. In New Zealand, where she spent 12 years of her life, she met a very courages woman, the mineralogist Hetty Faith-Wells. After her death Marume received her biography, which contained so much interesting material that she composed a novel about this woman´s tragic life. With the help of Sven Rödig she by now has published eight eBooks, the latest being "Letter to New Zealand", a fictious novel in English telling about life in Germany before World War II, during this war and afterwards in the Sowjet Zone (later: DDR).
In New Zealand, which is for her the most beautiful country in the world, she married, and gave birth to two children. In 1971 she returned with her family to Germany. Five years later she was divorced from her husband, who returned to his native country. Marume now lives in Nuremberg, where she spends most of her time writing down into the PC all the stories which her phantasy dictates her, mostly about New Zealand.
