Barb Wilson was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey. She is a single mother of two amazing children. She knew at a young age that she enjoyed school and wanted to help others. Barb has a B.A. in Psychology from Rowan University, an M.Ed. in School Counseling from Wilmington University, and she earned a Ph.D. in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from the University of Georgia. Barb has over 12 years of experience as a school counselor and recently left education to become a full-time private therapist. She enjoys giving back to others by writing educational pieces for counselors. She also writes biographies that highlight people who have overcome hurdles in their lives. In addition to writing, Barb presents at conferences and for communities on topics such as the dangers of social media.
