E. C. Gibson

E. C. Gibson grew up on Air Force bases in Tennessee, Maine, Oklahoma, and Arizona. He was educated at the Kentucky Military Institute, University of Oregon, University of Kentucky, University of Bordeaux (Research Fellowship), and Harvard University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Anthropology, specializing in Maya Prehistory. He has directed archaeological projects in Central America, Polynesia, France, and North America (Massachusetts, Kentucky, Texas, California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington). In addition, he has authored over fifty scientific blogs and papers, technical monographs, and papers presented at scientific society meetings.

He lives in Eugene, Oregon, and is conducting research in the Cinema Studies Department at The University of Oregon.
