Bill Denert, , Jr. was born in Middletown, CT on May 30, 1954. Bill learned how to tell stories from his father, Bill, Sr. who used to tell him bedtime stories about uncle Wiggly and Peter Rabbit. Bill, Jr. continued his story telling while his daughters were infants and loved to invent original characters to his stories. His stories about Bee and Grasshopper have been cherished by his daughters and their friends over the years and much appreciation has been shown by them to finally convince him to write these stories down and to publish them for all.
Bill is new to the publishing world; he has spent half a lifetime in the banking business, as well as in IT over the past forty years. He has finally found his "niche" in his series Tales From the Little Valley, along with his own artwork. Along with Bee and Grasshopper, he has created many different characters for his stories and drawings including ants, caterpillars, June Bugs, mosquitoes, beetles, cicadas, and his latest creation, Enid the Engineer, who is a silkworm.
His story telling always has messages of honesty, responsibility, sharing and safety for youngsters who read his books.
His first book was published in July, 2016 and he has recently published a second book to his series in January, 2017.
