Author, Advocate, Speaker, Teacher, Mother and Friend, Grace shares tools and strategies that have helped her to remain positive, grounded and loving in the face of Autism. As a parent of a beautiful adult daughter living with Autism, Grace has learned many valuable lessons through her adventures, some of which she aims to share with readers in her upcoming book, Children of Autumn ‐ Autism here on Purpose.
While raising her daughter, Julianne, Grace often felt overwhelmed and helpless. However, through several attitudinal shifts in the perspectives she had inherited while growing up, she was lifted from the distress and shown a new empowered way to experience life. Grace now sees the condition as “AWE‐tis‐em” because those born into the Autism experience ultimately allow us to see the Awe‐someness in ourselves and others.
In her presentations, Grace offers a unique and hopeful message based on personal experiences that reaffirm that Autism is here on purpose to help our species evolve and become more loving. She has delivered her message to various audiences including health care professionals, doctors, care givers and other thought‐leaders in the field of health and wellness, many of whom found personal value and relevance to their own experiences even though they may not live with the challenge of Autism.
Grace Kohn is available for presentations and is open to invitations to speak anywhere in the world.
She has presented in Canada and the United States. She lives with her Beloved in Jasper, AB, Canada, and enjoys downhill skiing with Julianne as much as she can. She can be reached through her website at www.childrenofautumn.com
