Beverly Pace was born in Andalusia, Alabama and she loves all things southern - food, faith, and football. She loves exploring the South's rich history and her debut novel blends her love of literature and history together. After teaching her college students creative writing for over twenty years, Pace decided to retire and write her first novel instead of grading papers. This novel, Song of Alabama, was sparked by the revelation of German POWs being housed in her hometown during World War II. It explores what happens when cultures collide, the world is at war, and faith is questioned.
