Gary C. Gibson

Originally from a small farming town in eastern Washington, I spent most of my life in Alaska drawn by the irresistible beauty of the outdoors and its value for being a positive retreat for intellectual pursuits. Without so many people converting it into a living room antipathetic to human life on Earth, wilderness ecosphere has a life absent in urban existence.. I had hoped to get a PhD and just read and write philosophy earning a few dollars as an adjunct professor yet other circumstances prevailed. I wrote several books of poetry such as A Place for Faith, The Poetry of Existence-Meanings and Matter of Spirit, several books of philosophy including God, Being and Nothingness, Creation and Cosmos; The Literal Values of Genesis, Philosophy: Thought That Counts, Christianity, Evolution and Digital Universes, and The Myth of Non-Academic Philosophy. My science fiction books include A Thought of Infinite Being, A Universal Widget-In the Realm of Forms, Novilistricka Factors, Alterwall Objectives, Cross Purposes and Wrangell'd Pulp Fiction. I compiled numerous collections of essays of contemporary history analysis including a ten-volume set called Waveform Politics, Fossil Fueled Federal Debt and several volumes of Honest History.

I worked for a time in perhaps 30 different occupations including offshore oil exploration and deckhand work on push boats, painting building exteriors, trained in several Army combat mos's, rode a bike around the U.S.A. 35,000 miles while homeless normally camping in a tent seeking work. I found that thinking and writing about philosophical, theological, historical and cosmological issues is free and possible even without a surfeit of positive social reinforcement. I suppose because Linus Pauling grew up about 150 miles south of where I did the motivation to accomplish something intellectually meaningful, even if comparatively modest, was present in my youth from the example.

So I took a G.E.D. before my high school class graduated and later Associate and Bachelor's degrees with much on-line and correspondence work from the University of Alaska and Excelsior College. I read theology at the Houston Graduate School of Theology and The North American Reformed Seminary and graduated from neither. The latter let me getting within a thesis of completing an M.T.S. program.

Something I learned was that as ideas become more rarefied they may be less well received, and that much of human existence really is centered around mainstream economic, material, physical reality so much so that it is like an ant colony without much for anything besides material economy...yet that isn't exclusively what's interesting.
