J J Fitzpatrick

JJ Fitzpatrick, or Fitz, as he is usually known is a British Dog Trainer and Behaviourist. He trained as a Royal Air Force Police Dog Handler in 1981 and retired from the Service in 2013 as the Senior Instructor at the world-renowned Joint Service Dog School, Defence Animal Centre.

He has a particular interest and expertise in the breeding and development of Military Working Dogs and Service Police Dogs.

Fitz is a former Vice-Chairman of the British Police and Services Canine Association and former editor of The Service Dog.

A long-term member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and a Canine Practitioner with the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association, he now sits as a member of the Pet Education Training and Behaviour Council (PETbc) in the UK.

Educating Alice: The Essential 4-Step Guide to Training the Perfect Puppy is his first book and follows the puppy education and development programme he has honed over many years.
