Kim Safonov

Kim Safonov is an Elementary Education teacher, a singer and writer. She has lived in Ukraine for 20 years and has worked with orphaned and needy children. She has a passion for animal rights, as she has seen many animals hurt, abused and abandoned on the streets of Kyiv. She and her husband Zhenya have rescued close to 100 homeless dogs over the past 8 years and placed them into loving families.

"Happy Tails" is her first book on animal rescue. She hopes that animal lovers will be inspired by it and that it will promote compassion and activism in the next generation. Updates and more information can be found on the "Happy Tails" facebook page and at kimsafonov.com.
