J. Maurice is an author from the south side of Chicago. He published his first novel, Card House: The First Hand, the forerunner in his Card House series, which gained notoriety by it's raw and uncut depiction of life for a middle-class family facing the backlash of family secrets. In 2016 he released the first books in both the Thy Neighbor's Wife and Wet Panties and Dirty Laundry Series. Gaining a small following he released a couple of standalone novellas as he freelance wrote for others

His writing soon caught the eye of Dragon Fire Publication. Under DFP, J. Maurice has published several controversial titles including Summer of Secrets and Promises To Keep. In addition, he has contributed to various Dragon Fire anthologies. He paints urban drama in a fashion that is not only poetic but also humorous in a way that all can relate in some form or another.
