Michelle Hatcher

Studied English and Humanities at university whilst a single mum, she became a journalist through what she calls 'the side entrance,' Michelle has enjoyed working across Canada, Germany and France as a UK correspondent; one of very few not to go through Journalism school. She has always been proud of the fact, she recalls, that she taught herself. If this wasn't enough to go on, she became a self-made editor in chief for her own project The Vintage Eye magazine which went on to be recognised as the ground breaking publication in 2015.

Moving on from The Vintage Eye, she then sat a staggering three diplomas in less than six months, becoming an NLP Practitioner, CBT Therapist and certified life coach in less than a year. A feat that should have taken in total, 6 years. Her point? Showing that 'it could be done by a no hope.' Moving into social psychology, her book, Cause and Effect discussed the nature of social indifference and argued the idea of the Law of Attraction and its downfall.

Michelle now dedicates her journey to the benefits of Motorcycling. Taking up motorbiking at the age of 51, she now edits the popular Full Throttle Half Century on Medium attracting tens of thousands of readers each month. Her first book on psychology of motorcycling was published in 2025. This book is a deeply personal and heartfelt account of her journey from L plate and beyond tackling anxiety and depression and how learning to ride a motorbike helped her overcome some significant personal traumas.

Now, from the book, Full Throttle, Full Heart, she hopes to support millions of bikers and wanna-be motorcyclists as far and as wide as possible in finding peace on a two wheeled road.
