Hello! Welcome to my Author Page.

I am Deb Karpek, the Reluctant Reiki Master. (Read the book to find out why I call myself this!)

I am the owner of Peaceful World Reiki, where I practice and teach all levels of Usui and Karuna Holy Fire II Reiki. I have been studying Reiki since 2001, practicing since 2003, and teaching since 2006. I am a Usui and Karuna Holy Fire II Reiki Master/Teacher, receiving my Reiki Certifications from the International Center for Reiki Training.

I received a Master of Spiritual Psychology from the School of Integrative Psychology in Glendale, WI and am certified as a Level 1 Breathwork Practitioner. I am also a Reiki Crystal Healer, a Reiki Drum Practitioner, and perform Reiki and Sound Healing with Tuning Forks.

I am approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.

Having experienced profound life changes as a result of Reiki, I continue to study and practice the various modalities of energy medicine. I devote my life to walking the Reiki path and helping others discover the benefits of Reiki.

My book, Creating and Sustaining a Thriving Reiki Practice made its debut in June of 2016. My writing has also appeared in Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul, Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul Daily Inspirations, Reiki News Magazine, Reiki Rays Blog and many online blogs and newsletters.
