Beverley Oakley

Opulent historical romances brimming with forbidden secrets and intoxicating passion, where fearless heroines shatter society's chains to claim both love and liberation.

Award-winning author Beverley Oakley crafts deeply emotional historical novels that transport readers into the glittering yet perilous world of Georgian, Regency, and Victorian England.

Her novels explore the complex inner lives of rebellious heroines who must battle both the suffocating social expectations of British high society and their own burning desires. Writing from her homes in Australia and Europe, Beverley draws from her own epic love story—discovering her Norwegian soulmate while managing a safari lodge in Africa's pristine Okavango Delta—to infuse every page with authentic fire and adventure.

Through meticulous historical research and multi-layered character development, she creates stories where love ignites in the most dangerous places and consuming passion wages war against duty. Each tale combines the timeless appeal of historical Britain with psychological insight and raw emotional truth, creating an all-encompassing reading experience where romance and personal transformation burn together against backdrops of scandal, mystery, and revolutionary change.

Under the pen name B. G. Nettelton, Beverley also writes the critically acclaimed "Wings Over Africa" crime series, featuring a daring pilot hero inspired by her own aviator husband, whom she met in the wilds of Botswana. These atmospheric thrillers showcase her versatility as she weaves deadly secrets through Africa's breathtaking yet treacherous landscapes.
