Rosella Calauti

"Friends" was written by Rosellla Calauti, a dedicated teacher who has taught for over twelve years in the New York public school system. She obtained her MAT from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York and her second Masters at SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, New York. Rosella Calauti became certified in art and CTE education after changing her career of working in the art field for several years to a commitment of helping children become lifelong learners. She discovered her passion. As a children's advocate, she hopes "Friends" encourages tots to explore their communities and feel secure experiencing their first encounters outside their homes. Her Purple Dragonfly Award Winning children's picture book is a great beginner reader book that helps prepare children socially and supports literacy development through the use of opposites and adverbs (Here, There, everywhere). It also has colorful eye-catching illustrations of friends in everyday situations.
