G. Allen Cook

G. Allen Cook lives with his wife and son in an eccentric house in the midst of neurotic Northeast Arkansas. As a child, G. Allen aspired to become a public nuisance...and, as a writer, he is proud to have achieved his dream.

Due to a degenerative disease that impedes his mobility, G. Allen spends all day at his office desk, writing no less than 1000 words per sitting. His favorite aspect of composing fiction is writing dialogue, a skill he honed through writing theatrical plays/musicals for 23 years. Twenty of his plays have seen production in various southern theaters.

Writing short stories since his teen years provided G. Allen sufficient material to put into several collections and anthologies. He works in multiple genres, most of them fantasy and/or humor. His contribution to Troy Blackford's excellent horror/dark fantasy anthology series, "Robbed of Sleep," can be described as body comedy...second cousin to body horror, the difference being the cast of characters in G. Allen's submissions are idiots.
