Vickii Engel Thomas is a counselor, massage therapist, and educator specializing in the relationship between body and spirit. Over the last three decades, Vickii has integrated these fields into a body-centered approach to change and growth. In her journey through self-employment, migraines, marriage, parenthood, divorce, and the building of a home, Vickii continually sought simple and effective ways create calm. The core of her message is self care of both body and spirit.
As a counselor and massage therapist, Vickii coaches hundreds of clients how to use three powerful models to both understand and ease struggles within themselves and relationships. An adjunct instructor at McDaniel College, she has taught many graduate students to bring body awareness into their work as counselors. A facilitator of mindfulness meditation, a student of yoga, and the mother of one fine son, her passion for learning and growth focus on self-discovery and self care to create a calmer life and more peaceful world, one person and one relationship at a time. She is the owner of The Center for Healing Arts in Westminster, Maryland which she co-founded in 1987. An avid gardener and lover of flowers, Vickii lives with her partner, Michael Rosner, and walks to work as often as possible.
