Marko Dimitrijevic

Marko Dimitrijevic is a Swiss photographer and entrepreneur. He has spent most of his life photographing the beauty of the world and documenting the lives of endless species. Marko taught himself photography in the field. As a teenager he would spend days capturing images of the creatures inhabiting his backyard. Over the years Marko has travelled to over 120 countries and has gravitated towards nature photography focusing his time on endangered species and conservation. His fascination for the behavior and habitat of wildlife has brought him to photograph animals both above and underwater.

Marko is honored to have his photography awarded by or published in The Sunday Times, Travel + Leisure, Travel Photographer of the Year, Ocean Geographic, Sony World Photography Awards, Digital Foto, Alert Diver, American Photo, Islands, International Photography Awards, Photopro, Boats International, Nature’s Best Photography and many others.

Besides being a photographer, Marko is an entrepreneur, author and lecturer. He wrote Frontier Investor: How to Prosper in the Next Emerging Markets. Michael Spence, Nobel Prize Winner in Economics, hailed the book as “brilliant”. Marko’s most recent publication, BIG, is a unique collection of wildlife photos captured by himself and award-winning photographer Amos Nachoum. BIG is a culmination of the two photographers’ most impressive works, which distinctively transmits the emotions experienced during close interactions with some of the largest animals in the world.

Marko’s passions also include ocean conservation and medical research through his active involvement with Beneath the Waves and the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. A renaissance man, Marko holds degrees from the Université de Lausanne, Switzerland, and from Stanford University.
