Mike Phillips

Mike Phillips is a writer, speaker, pastor and counselor, ordained and licensed pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, both in Canada and the United States, where he pastored four churches over 36 years.

In addition to his work as pastor, Mike also ministers to missionaries in many organizations. Primarily, he has served with Youth With a Mission, teaching over 90 schools in the past 24 years. He focuses on topics such as “Hearing God’s Voice”, “Healing From Your Past” and “Prayer and Intercession.”

Mike’s degrees are in Theology and Counseling and he has done extensive work utilizing Memory Processing, TPM, Myers-Briggs Indicator, Choice/Reality Therapy and Life Coaching. He brings all of this experience into his writing and speaking.

Mike has published four books and 97 articles with Christian magazines such as Christianity Today, Leadership, Charisma, Computing Today and Alliance Life. His book on parenting (“To Be A Father Like the Father”) sold 20,000 copies and was on the Christian book bestseller list for four months.

Currently, Mike is finishing up four short booklets called "The Joy Robbers". Each of these books addresses a common personal struggle that robs people of joy. Currently, one of these is published and available on Amazon: "Overcoming Shame". The second one is "Freedom From Porn" and will be available September 1, 2016. In addition, booklets dealing with Jealousy and Resentment will follow in the next year.

Mike’s current book in final editing is called “The Spiritwalk” and will be available sometime in the Winter of 2016.

Mike has a wife, Kathy, and three children, John, Andrew, and Meaghan. He currently lives in Sacramento, California when he is not traveling for speaking and counseling ministry.
