Kevin Casey

Kevin Casey was born in the city of Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1969. While still in high school, his family relocated to a remote area in northern Maine on the Canada border to operate a 100-year old wilderness sporting camp. The contrasts and parallels between these different environments continue to inform much of his writing.

Living in an old farmhouse on several acres in the central part of the state, Casey’s connection to the wild and rural landscapes of New England is evident in the themes and imagery of his poetry. While his work celebrates the harmony and permanence reflected in the natural world, it also embraces the inevitable loss and sense of longing that are part of the human condition.

Casey’s work has been published widely in journals and magazines in several different countries, including Chiron Review, Valparaiso Poetry Review, Gulf Stream, Rust+Moth, and Cumberland River Review.
