Caroline L Thornton

Caroline L Thornton is a Scottish children's author. She studied History at university and went to an agricultural college as a mature student to study Animal Care. She has done voluntary work with sea turtles, reindeer, primates and small animals.

Caroline fell into writing picture books for children in 2014. While off work due to illness she wrote a poem for British charity OCD:UK's Awareness Week which got her writing again for the first time in years. After this she wrote her first poem for children which was inspired by her own pet rabbits and three more poems quickly followed.

She knew nothing of the publishing industry before she started writing and everything has been done through trial and error and google!
