Ryan P. Brown

Ryan P. Brown is the Managing Director for Measurement at Rice University's Doerr Institute for New Leaders. Prior to this role, he was the L. J. Semrod Presidential Professor of social psychology at The University of Oklahoma, where he taught and conducted research for many years. He has published more than sixty scientific articles or book chapters and authored or co-authored three books. Born in Alabama, Ryan earned a B.A. from Rice University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin. He has two sons, Nathan and Luke, and lives with his wife, Catherine, in Houston, TX.
