E. Lloyd Kelly

E. Lloyd Kelly is a Jamaican-born author, poet, and storyteller now living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Born in a small town near Sherwood Content, Jamaica, to Raglan and Alma Kelly, he carried his stories across the ocean and onto the pages of more than ten published titles spanning romance, fiction, poetry, and short stories.

His writing voice is unmistakably his own: wry, warm, deeply rooted in Jamaican culture and authentic patois, and alive with the kind of humor and honesty that only comes from someone who has actually lived the stories he tells.

His novel Training Manley draws directly from the streets, campuses, and cultural collisions of Montreal, a city he has made his home and his literary canvas. It is the story of two people whose worlds should never have collided. And what happened when they did.

Kelly is the author of Training Manley, Backsliding, the "REAL INKY TRAIL" series consisting of: New Hiking Trail, Twisted Tales from the Big Fail, The Sword the Word and the Writing. Aloada's Shirt Factory and Collect Call, among others. He is also the poet behind poems such as: Beautiful Sunset, Prelude, Born for This, The Road, and Poetic Just Ice. Cold.
