Jonathan S. Pembroke

Jonathan Pembroke is a lifelong fan of speculative fiction. He cut his young teeth reading Stephen King, Michael Moorcock, and Larry Niven. Jonathan graduated from a large midwestern university in the early 90s and spent twenty years in the American military as a professional liar--also known as a meteorologist--which prepared him for a career in fabricating wild stories. He and his wife Lisa now live in a rural area of the American Southwest, with a horde of unruly dogs.

Jonathan started writing seriously in 2006 and has over a hundred short stories under his belt. He published his first novel, Pilgrimage to Skara, in 2016, which was a finalist in the third Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (a contest created by fantasy author Mark Lawrence). His fiction tends to be brooding an bittersweet, though he would love to write a good comedy at some point. Jonathan also blogs now and then at The Flint Hatchet (https://flinthatchet.wordpress.com), which has been known to cause brain rot and should not be read by anyone.
