Angee Barcus is a wife, mother and author. She writes to relate her experiences as a parent of a child with a developmental disability. Angee does so to give hope to other parents and she hopes that she has made a difference in the lives of other people and their families. Her books about Lisa should help others who are traveling the same road, as they care for a person with a developmental disability.
Angee worked as a nurse in a school system, and as part of her duties she carried out a range of therapy techniques with children who had various disabilities.
Through a newspaper column she wrote for almost two years on disability issues, Angee informed readers of available community services and shared many short stories about Lisa. From there, Angee worked diligently to complete the three books for others to enjoy.
