Lou Korus

Lou Korus has spent significant portions of time living in Minnesota, Arizona, and Idaho and is now living in Sun City, AZ. She lives with her cat, Tango, who has provided many moments of fun and fodder for scenes contained in her writings.

Lou has been writing seriously since 1994. In an attempt to bring something into her life where she had complete control, she began to write murder mysteries. Her first novel rambled on past 70,000 words as well as the second. Years later, upon much reflection and rewriting, these stories are becoming better.

Most of her education in writing was gained through membership in the Sandpoint Chapter of the Idaho Writers League, and availing herself of the many fine books explaining do’s and don’ts and an editor who opened her eyes with pointed and necessary comments.

Lou won awards for some of her submissions to the Idaho Writers League Annual Conference.

Her single claim to fame is being the world’s first tooth transplant, necessitated by an accidental soft blow of a ski boot to her front tooth. No need to mention the perpetrator - how’s that for a mystery?

She puts together puzzles on her computer every day. After all, what is a mystery but a series of random thoughts, pieced together with characters and scenes with yet to be explained connectivity; a computer, perhaps, producing outcomes of unexplained circumstances with the help of the excited and imaginative human brain?
