K. L. Stewart was born and raised in Four Oaks, NC. She briefly moved to Jacksonville, NC when she married. She has two daughters and now lives in her hometown. She has five books that she has self-published. "She's Facing Me: An Autobiographical Book of Poetry" was released in 2008. It is poetry written in her teens and early adulthood. "Angels & Shadows", "Angels & Hunters", and "Angels & the Dark City of Trost" are the first in The Dark Angel Wars, a series of dark fantasy books that mix cybernetic machines with magical creatures such as fairies, elves, and angels, among other things. "The Ruby Mountains" was co-written with her then nine-year old daughter, Victoria Leigh (Ruby). She is currently working on a sequel to "The Ruby Mountains" as well as the next installment in "The Dark Angel Wars". When she is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, nature, playing games, and listening to music.
