Interesting that the mother of boys who doesn't even enjoy running is a HUGE advocate for Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana. A past board member, Carol believes that when young girls in grades 3 thru 5 are coached on fitness, proper nutrition and self-esteem, they are empowered to make a significant impact on their communities as they grow into adulthood.
As mom, ice cream lover, and childhood allergy survivor, Carol is an expert in raising children with a dairy allergy. Her two sons, now in their twenties, love to eat and enjoy fabulous meals without feeling deprived.
A pharmacist since 1982, Carol has spent over thirty years counseling patients, family and friends on the benefits of making healthy decisions on a daily basis. She retired from retail pharmacy practice in 2011 to pursue her passion of helping others figure out how to live well. Her belief is that the road to health and wellness has its foundation in proper diet, exercise and fun! She coaches her clients on incorporating practical habits that last a lifetime.
Carol has a BS in pharmacy from Butler University and is a Precision Nutrition Certified health coach. Gardening imperfectly, writing, Lake Michigan, and sharing home-cooked meals with family and friends are a few of her favorite things.
