Lauren Wyman was born in June 1991, in the heart of Phoenix Arizona where the deserts are hot, dust storms are unpredictable, and where the wind feels like fire in the summertime. Lauren started her authoring journey through young adult fantasy novels, and migrated into Children's Books shortly after her first daughter was born in 2017.

Since then, she's written children's books that highlight some of the most important times of her life. In Space Buns Goes to Daycare, the book is an ode to her experience with anxiety and post-partum anxiety, giving new parents a tool to read to their children about the nervousness that comes with new experiences. In her second, Dot the Spotless Dalmatian, she integrates the family Dalmatian (Lucy) into her book, while also teaching the importance about loving yourself no matter how you look - spots or no spots.

With her most recent book, Winnie the Lonely Witch, Lauren has since opened an online clothing business in Dark Mother Clothing, as well as branching her books into Dark Mother Books for future spooky kids stories. Here, the shops dedication is towards two different styles; an alternative styled line meant for moms who enjoy the dark, different side to life, and the other a Self Love line dedicated towards anxiety and depression and a means of uplifting your mind through your style and self expression. Winnie the Lonely Witch is a testament to this message, where inclusion and finding your true friends are important to living a happy and fulfilled life as children grow up.
