Now retired I try and devote most of my time to writing, although sometimes its a little difficult to find motivation. It took me almost five years to complete my first novel, Ganner Sunstep after a good deal of stop - starting, editing, and editing, and re-editing, etc, etc, etc.
I have had a fascination with tramps and vagabonds for many years, ever since a chance meeting with a man who lived with his small dog in a ramshackle tin and corrugated iron hut in a copse of trees at the edge of a field, next to a stream. Although only talking to him for about fifteen minutes or so his seemingly idyllic lifestyle fueled my teenage imagination and eventually inspired me to create ' Ganner '.
I am currently writing my second novel, which may, or may not be about an entirely different subject.
