Feng Fu

Dr. Feng Fu PhD MBA CENG FIStructE FASCE FICE FHEA, is the Editor in Chief, Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Structures and Buildings. He is also the Council Member of Institution of Structural Engineers ( IStructE) and Chair for North Thames Regional Group of IStructE in 2020. He is an Associate Editor , Journal of Structural Engineering, American Society of Civil Engineers, Associate Editor , Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) . He is a Chartered Structural Engineer, Fellow of Institution of Structural Engineers, Fellow of American Society of Civil Engineering and Fellow of Institution of Civil Engineers. He also the Chief Editor for the new structual design mannual for Institution of Civil Engineers.

He is consecutively listed in the career list of Stanford top 2% scientists in the world since 2019 , and he is ranked by Microsoft Academics, the top 15 scholars in the world by saliency in the research of progressive collapse. He has contributed to the formulation of two design Codes by American Society of Civil Engineers: "ASCE/SET 59-22 Blast Protection of Buildings (2023) " and "ASCE/SEI 76-23,Standard for Mitigation of Disproportionate Collapse Potential in Buildings and Other Structures" (2023).

Prior to joining academia, he worked for several world leading consultancy companies and was involved in the design of extensive prestigious construction projects worldwide, including over 20 tall buildings (most buildings over 200 meters),such as the tallest building in Western Europe, the Shard in London; the second tallest buiding in London 22 Bishopsgate (participate in the first stage design before 2008), Nido Tower in London ( the third tallest student dormitory in the world); Nakheel tower in Dubai (1000m tall, Scheme design, the tallest building in the world);Beijing WangZuo Centre; Beijing Yuanyang complex, Beijing Kerry Center. He was also the team member of several large scale complex such as Masdar City (Abu Dhabi,the first sustainable city in the world ) award winning Bristol Broadmead Shopping Centre,Heathrow airport, Qin Huang Dao stadium. He has also participated in the design of bridges, long span structures, hospitals, and almost all types structures.
