Richard K. Stoll

Richard Stoll has been a saltwater fly fisher for 40-years, a fly angler for more than 50-years. He has published more than 500-articles on sport fishing, outdoors, and environment in newspapers, periodicals, magazines, and books.

Richard was a member of the International Game Fish Association IGFA) International Committee fourteen years running. He represented Washington State, the Kingdom of Tonga, and East Timor. Richard owned two fly fishing shops and was a partner in two more fly fishing shops. His most recent shop was Fly Fishing Magic in Poulsbo, Washington (now Peninsula Outfitters). Richard was an International Federation of Flyfishers Certified Fly Casting Instructor for 18-years (1994-2012). Richard held an appointment for several years to the Habitat Committee of the Pacific Fisheries Management Council, the organization that oversees offshore USA fisheries between Canada and Mexico.

Richard is a retired professional Aquatic Biologist and Civil/Environmental Engineer. During his international career Richard has had the opportunity to also fish many locations world-wide including Canada, Mexico, Korea, East Timor, Indonesia, Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands.

Richard currently lives in Poulsbo, Washington and fishes Pacific Northwest states, Alaska with the yearly visits to New Zealand and the Kingdom of Tonga. He can be reached through his web site www.westsoundangler.com
