Joseph D'Urso

Joey D’Urso is a born-and-raised Long Islander living far from home, and despite his relocation, he has yet to lose his New York accent. He was born to a loud Italian-American family and takes great pride in his surname’s apostrophe.

Creative even from elementary school, he has been writing fiction longer than he cares to remember. Publishing under Joseph D’Urso, his novels include "Devils in Sunday Hats," a story of buried secrets, forbidden love, and what it really costs to escape the past, and "The Aetherverse," an irreverent space opera for free thinkers. When he’s not busy worldbuilding in outer space, he can be found a little closer to Earth working in medical aesthetics and plastic surgery, where the intersection of science, beauty and human nature gives him plenty of material to write about.

Aside from writing fiction, Joey is an avid saxophone player, having played alto sax for over 20 years. He also has an intense interest in languages (both real and fictional) and graduated from Binghamton University with a BA in Arabic.
