Jan M. Schmuckler PhD

Jan M. Schmuckler has written many articles on leadership, coaching and role harmony. She was on the editorial board for many years of VisionAction the Bay Area consulting journal.

She is a former professor of organizational psychology and director of the Coaching Certificate Program at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California.

Jan developed the concept of role montage while writing her doctoral dissertation on women college presidents who told her they didn’t have mentors or role models especially female ones.

For more than thirty years she has used the idea of role montage with her coaching and consulting clients. Her BA and MEd are from Temple University. Jan's doctorate is from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. She lives in Oakland with her husband, children, and granddaughter. She can be reached at www.rolemontage.com.
