Michael Oechsle

Michael Oechsle (Oh-shlee) lives with his wife and two children in the historic little town of Hillsborough, North Carolina, where he teaches art at an elementary school. When he isn't writing or surrounded by kindergartners brandishing messy paintbrushes, he can be found photographing treasures like old country stores, kayaking a nearby river, or hiking in the Appalachian Mountains -- where he never passes a cave without looking inside.
