I can't write about myself in third person, so... I am a marketing professor at Radford University in Appalachian Virginia.

It was great to work on the book Service Innovation with three eminent scholars from Karlstad University - Sweden. Despite the fact that I had only met one of my three co-authors in person, Dropbox and Skype made collaboration easy! You can see the Swedish authors in the picture nearby...

My teaching and research focus on service innovation, social media marketing and selling. I like to combine these interests and talk about social selling or the use of the sales force and social media in service innovation.

Academia is my third career: I previously (1) worked for a Wall St. firm in Chicago and Singapore before (2) getting caught up in the dot.com/dot.bomb craze and working at a succession of startups.

My coolest and most exciting job was Managing Director/CEO of an Asian fixed income and derivatives subsidiary: managing and selling to people of diverse cultures. However, my current gig as Professor is the most fulfilling of the roles. My previous work in selling, marketing and service innovation greatly influences my teaching and research.

I hope there will be other books here soon: watch out James Patterson... Or maybe the guys from Karlstad will agree on another project or a sequel!
