Jenny Rae Armstrong

Jenny Rae Armstrong is passionate about building up the body of Christ by building up women, in her rural community and around the globe. An award-winning writer and teaching pastor at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church in Superior, WI, she tackles sticky topics with girl-next-door humor and grace. Jenny’s work has appeared in dozens of publications including RELEVANT, Her.Meneutics, Mutuality and Red Letter Christians. Her articles on gender justice and empowering women and girls have won three of the Evangelical Press Association’s Higher Goals awards, and two of the Associated Church Press’s Best of the Christian Press awards. Jenny has a B.A. in Global Studies from the University of Northwestern, and is pursuing an M.Div at North Park Theological Seminary. The January/February 2015 issue of The Covenant Companion recognized her one of the Evangelical Covenant Church’s “40 under 40: Young Covenanters making a significant impact locally and around the world.” A former missionary kid, Jenny has settled in Northern Wisconsin with her husband Aaron and their four sons, where she splits her time between studying, pastoring, writing, and mommy-ing.
