G W Andrews

G W Andrews grew up in Southern California. After high school, he served ten years in the United States Marine Corps (1969-1979) serving at MCAS El Toro, California, and MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, and MCAS Yuma, Arizona. He also did a tour of recruiting duty in Chicago, Illinois. After leaving the Marine Corps, he drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for ten years. He then settled in the desert community of El Centro, California, where he married his wife Rosemary and went to work for the Department of Social Services. He is now retired, and continues to live in the desert community he grew to love. Always known as a story teller, it was his dream to one day write books. Now that he is retired, he has published ten books. His first book, "God Bless Chesty" is a first person account of his experience in going through Marine Corps boot camp. His other books are fictional, but based on knowledge he has gained through his three different careers. The Widows of Dry Creek, is his first attempt at writing a story about the old west. His fictional books are known for having a bit of a "twist" in the plot. His book, The Sons of Jacob Booker, is his second western. His latest book is also a western, The Final Bounty.
