Her first novel, MALICE ON THE MEKONG, features a chocoholic Hindu grandmother investigating how a controversial foreign hostess came to drown in the great river of Southeast Asia. Anjali Rao, a diplomat's wife, hesitates to get involved. But she's steadily drawn into solving the mystery and soon finds her own life in danger.
Nancy returns to her West Virginia roots with a trilogy of mysteries set in the fictitious small town of Lewiston, WV. The main characters in each book return in the next book to help in the solution of a succession of crimes until all sleuths are united in the end, giving the reader a full picture of the myriad citizens of Lewiston.
In the first volume, CHILD'S PLAY, a poverty-stricken teen and the town's wealthiest woman are found dead in the woman's Mercedes. The teen's best friend and the woman's deadbeat sister must join hands to discover the sordid truth behind their loved ones' deaths.
The second book in the Lewiston, West Virginia trilogy of mysteries is now available on Amazon. LAZARUS revolves around a badly wounded stray dog, a boy who dropped out of high school to help his family after his father died, and the woman who took them both in. Dreadful things happen to the woman and the dog, but the boy perseveres until he sees the culprit brought to justice.
THE SILVER FOXES, final mystery in the WV trilogy, features the residents of a retirement community. The estranged husband's gushing eulogy at their friend's funeral makes them suspicious of her sudden death. These seniors may be in their seventies, but they're still bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Before long, they're sniffing out clues on the trail of some sinister shenanigans.
Nancy shares a writing life with her husband, Russell Sunshine, whose memoir, FAR & AWAY: TRUE TALES FROM AN INTERNATIONAL LIFE, is also available on Amazon.
