John Buzzard’s life experiences include serving in the Navy aboard the USS America during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and being shot during an armored-car robbery in Berkeley, California. He now lives in Tucson, Arizona with his wife Eva and their German shepherd, Rocky.
John has traveled throughout the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Holy Land. Living in the Southwest, he enjoys hiking the land once inhabited by Geronimo and the Chiricahua Apaches during their fight with General Crook and the U.S. Cavalry.
John is a member of Western Writers of America. He writes historical and Western fiction. His novel "That Day By the Creek" was chosen as a Foreword INDIES Finalist in Historical Fiction 2016.
John also has written a memoir, "Storm Tossed" under the pseudonym Jake Porter.
