Alan Watson

Hi. My name is Alan Watson, and I am the author of “Depression: The way I think, the way I feel.”

It has been a privilege to have written this book, it has been a true joy to do!

I would like to share with you the reason for writing this book.

I first suffered from a depressed period in my life at 17 years of age, which lasted without a break for around a year. Every morning I would wake up and feel I was unable to shake the feeling of being low and cheerless from my life; It was awful. I can only describe it like this, any of my positive emotions felt as though they had been wrapped in a covering so that i could not feel them very well and a lot of the time not at all, they were really difficult to bring out; moments that should have felt wonderful were not feeling how they should and this of course assisted in making me worry and spiral down to feeling very low. Now my negative emotions were, though still lessened, there more often, no doubt due to this concern i had of thinking would i ever feel right again? until, one day I learned a lesson that helped me change, and start to feel more like my old self again. Now of course, that wasn’t it, time moves on as it does, and other situations in my life caused me to have low periods. However Lessons along the way help me to overcome them as well, until eventually I was able to learn how to conquer this depression and come to the state I am at now, of being in a condition of mindfulness and self reliance. It was at the age of 17 that I decided, because no doubt feeling “depressed” myself to look more deeply into depression and the theories, treatments etc on it. Eventually a few years ago I decided that I had learned enough to be able to now share my thoughts and feelings to everyone that I could about depression, how to overcome it, and live a content and even jubilant life.

You may be suffering from depression yourself at this time as you read this, and be thinking, something like "hold on i have felt like this for years and cannot seem to shake it, and this guy tells me that he has beat depression, he must just have been feeling the ups and downs of life and that was all. Well let me assure you as it has been something i have had and heard in the past. In fact, it has offended me at times as people have tried to put there struggles above mine, inasmuch as they assume, just because they have not overcome there struggle yet, that if someone else did then there suffering must have been less than what they are going through. I really did suffer from depression, and i really have learned how to conquer it. I don't know how bad you are suffering but i know that my suffering was real and i know it was not easy for me to overcome, But I did!!!! It required me to put aside tradition and the many theories that get in your head telling you that it can't be beaten. I AM LIVING PROOF THAT IT CAN!!!!!

So I offer you the chance to read my book, and If you like it tell a friend, or even a stranger! Everything I have written is from the heart, and I genuinely want to help the world! I encourage everyone, even if you are not suffering from depression to try the toolkit I provide. I believe I have the answers to defeat depression and because I know how it feels and to think “Will I ever be happy again?” I ask you to make the choice to read my book; Depression: the way I think the way I feel. I believe I can help, what have you to lose? I will answer that for you, though I know you know. You want to lose these feeling of despair, sorrow, cheerless desolation, The numbness that attacks all the positive emotions that you try to feel; You want to gain peace, happiness and joy. Please read My Book, and for it to be of worth you have to read from the beginning to the end! This is not a book that you flick as you will lose what it is saying. you have to read from cover to cover and then you have to do what i recommend!! Forget what you have been told, come to it with a new look, The proof will be in the doing not just the reading. I wish you all the very Best.
