Vivian McInerny

Vivian McInerny is a journalist and fiction writer. She's the recipient of a Fishtrap fellowship and a Metropolitan Arts Commission grant for literary fiction. Water Damage is a Best of the Writers Project selection of the Multnomah County Library in Portland, Oregon.

Her short stories and essays are included in several anthologies such as 805 Lit+Art, Solitary, and Skive, and have been translated for international distribution.

As a staff writer for The Oregonian daily newspaper for almost twenty years, she produced award-winning feature articles that were republished in newspapers and magazines nationwide.

At age eighteen she traveled from Europe through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal returning to the USA after more than three years. She's currently working on a second novel and a memoir of that overland trip.
